The graphic designer: Khotso Kholopane. Tota Gopinatha … Continue reading BBT Africa publishes first book in Xhosa
The End of a Nice Maha-Sankirtan Day
by Tirtha Pavana dasa (Montreal, Canada)
Bhakta Jeff and I reached downtown Montreal at noon, and by 7:30 we had
distributed all our flyers and books except one hardback Bhagavad-gita.
Both of us tried for thirty minutes to distribute that book, but no one
would take it. We preached to Christians, we preached to Indians — we
tried everyone! I convinced Bhakta Jeff to stay a little longer, but
finally Continue reading “The End of a Nice Maha-Sankirtan Day”
Book ditribution in the land of Dharma
Article Courtesy of Book Distribution Conference.
Once one of our devotees in India — Nitai Prabhu — was trying to distribute a
Krsna Book. But the man was reluctant and gave many excuses for not taking the
book. Finally he said that he would purchase it next time. A man seated
opposite him heard the conversation, and afterward the man said to the person
refusing to buy a book, “You should take it; it’s a very nice book. I’ve
bought this book and completed reading it.” When he heard this, the
person who had refused to buy the book readily bought it. In this way,
we often we meet people who appreciate our books.
Most surprising for us is that almost every day Continue reading “Book ditribution in the land of Dharma”

Book Distribution Poem to Srila Prabhupada
This is a poem by Dravida Prabhu to Srila Prabhupada about his most pleasing
mission of book distribution in honor of his Vyasa Puja day.
O Prabhupada, on this great day
When you appeared, just like a ray
Of Krsna’s vast effulgence bright,
To give this blind world back its sight, Continue reading “Book Distribution Poem to Srila Prabhupada”
Substance, Not Sentiment
Anything without substance will not last, so just demonstrate sincerely that we have got solid ground beneath us, not that we have only some sentiment, that’s all. Many fanatic spiritual movements have come and gone, but without the flawless philosophy of Krishna, they cannot stand. Therefore I want especially that my books and literature should be distributed profusely. This is our substance, real philosophical information, … Continue reading Substance, Not Sentiment

An Unlikely Hero in the World of Sankirtana
Article Courtesy of Book Distribution Conference.
Ayodhya Dasa, a devotee of Indian descent, joined ISKCON in 1976 in
Detroit and was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in 1977. While in Detroit
he distributed books while serving in the life membership department.
But for many years he wanted to go to Vrndavana. In 1995 Krsna made the
arrangement. That year his brother-in-law passed away in India and he
was asked to attend the funeral ceremony because he was the only
surviving male in the family. He took the opportunity to visit
Vrndavana. He loved Vrndavana and decided he would move there. Dina
Bandhu Prabhu told him that Prabhupada wanted Continue reading “An Unlikely Hero in the World of Sankirtana”
Reggie Gets the Mercy
Article Courtesy of BDN Conference on Pamho.
On the first day of the 2010 Prabhupada Marathon we (myself and Bhakta
Alexey, on his first marathon) were on Oxford Street in London, waiting
for a bus to take us to our destination, further up the street. We
started to distribute books at the bus stop.
When the bus arrived, the driver held my books as I got on. He was from
Indonesia. I asked him to take a Bhagavad-gita Continue reading “Reggie Gets the Mercy”
