Maseru, Lesotho March 2013 Day 3

Maseru, Lesotho March 2013 Day 3
by Madhumangala dasa

Day three

Today my main focus was to get as many people as possible to chant Hare Krsna. I decided to go up to the top end of the main street, where most of the markets and stall holders line the street. I started chanting and people would laugh at first. But soon they were repeating the holy name of the Lord and curious onlookers joined in ecstatically. After that, whenever I would walk along the main street, I would hear many people calling out: “Hare Krsna!”

I went into Vodacom to see the young lady who had taken a book from me a few days before. Just as I approached her, she said to me with a big smile on her face: “I was hoping I would see you. My friend over there (she pointed to her friend) would like to meet you. She also wants a book.” I went over to her, introduced myself, and showed her some books. “Yes, these are very nice books. I think I will take these two”. She took a Higher Taste and a Perfect Questions Perfect Answers, thanked me and expressed her wish that we would remain in contact.
