Hare Krishna! By the mercy of our spiritual master H. H. Gopal Krishna Goswami and the guidance of our Regional Secretary H. G. Umapati Prabhu we have successfully completed Leg 1 of our book distribution tour across Tanzania. We distributed 1305 books including books in Swahili. Breakdown as follows:
Small books: 1020
Medium books: 250
Maha books: 35

Since the next day I would return to Johannesburg from Dar es Salaa, which is on the east coast of Africa, I decided to take a walk along the beach. I told the taxi driver where I wanted to go, and he said he knew where it was and would take me there. But after he dropped me off and I had walked for some time, I realized I was far from where I had intended to be. But it was hot and I wasn’t prepared to find another taxi. So I just kept walking. Soon I approached the ferryboat terminal, where hundreds of locals where walking and large crowds lined the streets, selling everything from fruit to clothing to sunglasses, and of course the fish market was bustling. Zanzibar

We had come to attend the Nairobi Ratha Yatra in East Africa and after that thought of doing some book distribution in neighbouring Dar es salaam and Zanzibar by Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s mercy.
